We survived telling Yi Yi about our dog, Spencer's passing. Lane was ok when he learned as he knew that the dog had not been well and was old. Yi Yi was broken hearted and cried and cried and cried for about an hour. If there was an upside to it she went between Brad, me and our other dog, Saucy, for comfort. So at least she sought us out for comfort.

By the time all was said and done we'd been talked into a "baby Spencer". Ok, it didn't take too much convincing.

She suggested getting a puppy for her birthday would be good. (March 28th) She also said if it took longer she's ok with that too.

There really hasn't been a whole lot else going on. We stay busy with school and music and lessons.

Lane is now taking bass lessons at Wichita State with the bass instructor there. Yi Yi is still taking piano and ballet. So life goes by pretty quickly just with those things.

We've enjoyed wonderful weather over the past few days and it looks as if winter is being chased back to the north. It will cool off for a few days this week but doesn't look as if it will last.

I'm already thinking about gardening and what can be planted early.

"God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help
in times of trouble" Psalm 46:1 NLT
