1. If you go swimming the spirits of the dead will pull you under and you will drown. (took some convincing but now Yi Yi is loving the pool)
2. If you eat milk and bananas together you will die. (she's waiting for the results of our science experiment where Lane ate bananas and milk. So far he's still alive, much to her relief)
3. People really do go to extreme measures to attend a worship service. In a city of 3 million Yi Yi's teacher had to drive 3 hours. I know there are more extremes too.
4. Chinese dogs sometimes take showers with their owners. Granted we saw mostly small dogs while we were there. Took some convincing that we could NOT put our 80 lb. dog in the shower with any of us. I shudder to think of the end results of that.
5. There are many wonderful children waiting for families.
Oh my that is so funny!!! Macy WILL NOT eat chocolate. She has never even tried it. And won't tell me why...but I really think there's some superstition behind it...or she thinks it's the key to making Americans fat. I guess there's a little truth to that! LOL
