That was a very long trip. Lane and I had fun, stopping at a couple of museums along the way and a lot of time spent talking.
On the way back I learned something. Prepare better for those short 'pull over' sessions when you need to catch a few zzzz's. I had a jacket and my winter coat and a light fleece blanket with me. I was getting sleepy so found a safe place to pull over (along with many other cars and RV's). It was nice and warm in the car but I woke up 2 hours later freezing. I discovered that the temperature was 20 degrees outside. If I ever do this again I'm bringing something warmer to cover up with.
Anyway, I'm back and now we're finishing up the last of our packing. We leave for the airport at about 3 pm tomorrow and our first flight leaves about 6. Nervous would be the understatement of the year!
