This is my first attempt at blogging via e-mail.  If somone sees this and could e-mail me at flutevet@yahoo.com so I can know if it works I'd be very grateful!   We are not in lanzhou yet.  We missed our flight yesterday and had a huge 3 hour disaster at the airport.  I'll explain that later.  We stayed in Guangzhou last night and will fly to Lanzhou in a bit.  They still want to bring Yi Yi  to us tonight even though it will be after 8 pm.  It ought to make for an awkward evening and Brad and I are not crazy about it but I guess we get no say in the matter.  It seems it would be easier, especially on her, if we had a few more hours together before retiring.   After yesterday Brad and are trying to remain optomistic about the rest of the trip.  It didn't get off to a good start at all.   We are both nervous.   Other than that we've talked to Lane and he's being treated to many "jam" sessions and a jazz concert so although he says he misses us he's having fun.   I guess that is it for now.  Your prayers are very much appreciated as we're still very tired and, I guess, kind of emotional or something with all that's coming up and very much missing the American way of handling business.   I'll try and write more later once we get to Lanzhou and will attempt to e-mail pictures to the blog.   Lisa
